Chalk Walk- 9/14
A new event where you get to connect to our community like never before. Walk around downtown and talk to our Community Partners from 5-8PM, fill out a FREE sticker sheet to enter a raffle of goodies only available in Sylva!
Don’t forget to talk the talk and chalk that walk at the very first Chalk Walk, honey! Show your Pride with messages that uplift and celebrate the voices of our LGBTQ+ community. Submissions for the storefront decoration competition should be completed no later than 5PM on 9/14 for pictures. Our top picks will be posted on social media and the winning team receives a gift basket! Want to help decorate? Ask your favorite businesses to join their artist team!
Chalk Walk Rules:
Keep it chalky - Only use chalk based supplies.
Keep it walky - Respect boundaries and only create within the participant’s footprints
Keep it gay - uplift and celebrate this community
Consent for participation is absolutely mandatory. Do not chalk in areas without permission.
Drag the Vote: Mad for Drag! - 9/14
Join us at the Lazy Hiker - Sylva Taproom for another installment of Mad for Drag! at 9PM. This show will feature drag artists from across the region and focus on how each of us can make a change in the voting booth and beyond! This show is appropriate for ages 16+ and admission is $20.
